Your Love Isn’t Mild.

Your love isn’t mild. It is anything but.

It is white hot. Blazing red.

Soul-chasing, wall-breaking, bone-raising.

Sin-erasing, earth-shaking, stone-rolling.

Cross-embracing.

Never ceasing, always seeking.

You never stop, it is who You are. Pursuing me even on days when I don’t particularly want You.

I am Your passion.

You offer me a Love that says: I’ll be crucified, because I won’t have eternity without her.

The only Love that gives me life. At the end of the day, it’s the only One I need.

Here’s my heart-song surrender:

Break down my idols.

Break my heart.

For when your Love doesn’t seem to satisfy, give me again a hunger and a thirst for the One who made me.

Take me back, garden-style. To the days when it was just us walking in the breezy part of the day.

I will never be satisfied by anything less than You alone.  Don’t let me settle for anything less than that.

Your love is wild for me. And this is mercy: that it always, always will be.
